The Awards have 12 categories, and they honour people and institutions which contribute most to the development, promotion and popularization of film culture in Poland. This year, a new category was added – Digital reconstruction of Polish cinema classics. We have been nominated for an award in this very category for our digital reconstruction of “Hourglass Sanatorium”. The second nominee is Grzegorz Molewski for his pioneering efforts in the area of digital reconstruction of Polish films. Lady Gaga returns with special effect
2010-04-28
The Chimney Pot’s Swedish team has done post production for Lady Gaga’s latest, almost 10-minute long video for „Telephone”, a song she recorded with Beyonce. Our friends from Stockholm worked really hard on special effects, and thanks to their efforts the clip looks very impressive. Jonas Akerlund directed the video. It is worth noting that last year the Chimney team received MTV’s Video Music Award 2009 for special effects to another Lady Gaga video, „Paparazzi”. The “Telephone” video has already been called a “superproduction” – you can check it out by clicking here. We work together with our Stockholm colleagues on other productions as well. Paweł Falkowski helped out with special effects for one of Rammstein’s videos last year. We will keep you posted on new developments in this area.

Minutes and Bats
2010-04-21
We have completed yet another post production of commercial campaigns for Orange. We worked on two spots for the “Minutes” series. The complete world of little balls (“little minutes”) in the Orange Pop Starter and Orange Pop Spun-out Minutes Sony Ericsson commercials were created entirely in 3D graphics environment. The creative idea came from the Leo Burnett agency, and the works were supervised by our own Marcin Drabiński. The second campaign was Orange “The Bat – the time does not matter” – the project involved a graphical approach much different to the previous one. Again, all of the visuals in this commercial were created in 3D graphics, but the entire world “inhabited” by the main character was paper-like. You can check out the commercials by visiting our Portfolio section.
